If you are a Parent interested in experiencing the behind the scenes world of producing a theatre show from beginning to end, look no further!

Parents, in order to volunteer you must have a child actively participating in a Top Hat Theatrics production.

For adults Ages 19+ (Not a Parent/Student) wanting to volunteer in general with Top Hat Theatrics please email us at info@toptheatrics.org and a board member will reach out at their earliest convenience.

Note: Once you’ve submitted the below form a Top Hat Staff member will contact you for more info and planning to speak further.

Before filling out the form at the bottom, here’s a quick guide of what each volunteer does.

Costume Committee

Lead by our Artistic Director, Jenn Perez, the Costume Committee is in charge of the overall procure and design of costumes for each production. By being a part of this committee you will work with the Artistic Director and Directors of the show to see out the overall aesthetics of costumes. You will design, create, and fit students for said costumes throughout the rehearsal process of any show. This may require retrieving costumes at certain locations as needed and transportation of costumes during performance week.

Prop Committee

Lead by our Managing Director, Naoki Breger, and Set Designer, Scott Kinney, the Prop Committee aims to retrieve, create, and secure all prop items for any given show. You will work with the Managing Director and Set Designer in procuring props, creating props at rehearsals, and ensuring the transportation of said props during performance week.

Front of House

Lead by our Volunteer Coordinator, Jenn Casey, Front of House aims to be the front line in ensuring our patrons are met with a warm smile and are provided the needed goods before a show begins. Volunteers here will greet patrons, sell tickets and refreshments, and assist in the build up and tear down of the front of house area.

Back of House

For those looking to volunteer backstage as a stagehand for our performances, the Back of House aims to ensure a show runs as smooth as possible at all times. Duties may include setting up Mic Packs for students, moving sets, assisting with costume change needs, and communicating with the tech booth as needed. You will report to the Directors, Stage Manager, and Artistic Director for all needs and questions.
