Top Hat Theatrics is excited to embark on a journey to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!
The world-famous Willy Wonka is opening the gates to his mysterious factory…but only to a lucky few. Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka’s army of curious Oompa-Loompas.

Rehearsal Expectations
Rehearsing for a production is a lot of fun but we do need to make sure we are following rules and expectations to put on the best show possible.
Be Prepared
- Learn Your Lines: Ensure that you have your lines memorized before rehearsals.
- Look ahead: The directors will tell you what we are doing next, review before you come to rehearsal.
- Bring Your Materials: Always bring your script, a notebook, a pencil, and any other required materials.
Respect for the show, the studio and others
- Punctuality: Arrive on time for every rehearsal. Try to be 15 minutes early
- Attendance: Inform the director or stage manager in advance if you are unable to attend a rehearsal.
- Listen: Pay attention when the director or others are speaking.
- Kindness: Treat fellow actors, directors, and crew members with kindness and respect. This includes not speaking negatively about anyone on cast or crew.
- Cleanliness: Clean up after yourselves and help us keep the studio nice. If you notice a problem, let the directors know right away.
Focus and Concentration
- Stay Engaged: Keep phones away unless directors have given permission
- Stay in Character
Follow Directions
- Blocking and Staging and Take Notes: Write down any feedback or instructions given to you.
Professionalism
- Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude throughout rehearsals.
- Commitment: Show dedication to the role and the production.
What to bring
- Hydration: Bring a water bottle and stay hydrated during rehearsals.
- Comfortable Clothing: Wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothing.
- Costume Care: Respect and take care of any costumes or props assigned to you.
Have Fun
- Enjoy the Process: Remember that rehearsals are a time to learn, grow, and enjoy the process of creating a performance.
- Support Each Other: Encourage and support your fellow performers.
