Into The Woods JTF!
Production and JTF Troupe Fee: $1200
Production Fee for Ensemble Members: $450 (Ensemble will not attend JTF)
Tech Crew: $300 (Will not attend JTF)
PAYMENT METHODS: Parent/Guardian are given the option to either pay the lump sum cost of whichever show(s) they choose upfront, or they may choose to do a monthly payment plan during the rehearsal period up to performance of said production(s). We will begin invoicing parents/guardians at the beginning of production period(s). PLEASE READ: Before continuing please read the TOP HAT JTF Guide (Click Here) for more info on what the Junior Theatre Festival is all about. We recommend JTF for students who are looking for a challenge in all abilities singing, acting, and dancing. It is highly suggested those auditioning for JTF have experience in theatre as it can be difficult for newcomers. If you, the student, have auditioned and are cast as “Ensemble” for this production, it is to be understood that you will only perform in the live production on stage of Into The Woods this November 2025 at the Art Place. Students cast as “JTF Troupe Member” will perform the live production and continue rehearsals after the live production is over to work on their fifteen minute competition piece for the Junior Theatre Festival on January 2026.
Directors Casting Note: Everyone that auditions will have a part whether on stage or behind the scenes. Only JTF Troupe Members will be cast in lead/named roles. Students cast as Ensemble will actively participate in the show through musical numbers and various scenes on stage as decided by the Directors and Creative Team. For those who auditioned and were not selected for a role when emails are released we still encourage you, the student, to consider doing Tech Crew as a way to be involved and learn through the production. AUDITION PREPARATION
NOTE: Auditions can be submitted VIRTUALLY or IN PERSON
In Person Auditions
AUDITION DATE: July 19th from 4PM – 6:30PM (Show up on time for the time slot you signed up for, you are not needed for the whole audition timeframe.)

AUDITION LOCATION: great gig Dance company – 4200 Wade Green Rd NW #128, Kennesaw, GA 30144
1. Prepare a 1-2 minute cut of a song in the style of the show(s) you’re auditioning for.
2. SLATE! When entering the audition room and are ready please state your first and last name, followed by your age, and what song you will be performing and what show it’s from.
3. You will be responsible for providing your own track/accompaniment (USB Drive, Youtube Link, Google Drive File, any MP3 File)
4. NO acapella may be done.
Virtual Auditions
Deadline to Submit: July 19th by 4PM
1. Prepare a 1-2 minute cut of a song in the style of the show(s) you’re auditioning for.
2. SLATE! At the beginning of your video please state your first and last name, followed by your age, and what song you will be performing and what show it’s from.

CALLBACK PREPARATION – CALLBACK IS MANDATORY IN PERSON
CALLBACK DATE: July 26th from 5pm to 10:00pm

We highly suggest you take the time to study the show(s) you’re called back for so you’re prepared!
Dress appropriately for the dance callback.
Be prepared to sing amongst other students and alone.
Cold reads will be included at the end of callbacks.
NOTE: Your professionalism and behavior will be recorded throughout this audition process. Refer to our Policy and Procedures page for our Behavior Policy.
Into The Woods Rehearsal Information:
First Day of Rehearsal: August 2nd from 5pm to 8:30pm
Rehearsal Location: great gig Dance company – 4200 Wade Green Rd NW #128, Kennesaw, GA 30144
Rehearsal Days: Saturdays from 5pm to 8:30pm, and Sundays from 3pm – 6pm.
Student Tech Days: November 3rd, 4th, 5th (Conflicts are unacceptable on these dates)
All tech times are from 6:00pm to 10:00pm
Performance Dates: November 6th, 7th, 8th (Conflicts are unacceptable on these dates)
