Auditions will be open for all students ages 8-18
If you are a student who is interested in a tech track related role instead, please click here, you will need to fill out the volunteer form. A Top Hat Theatrics staff member will reach out to you and your parent(s) separately for additional information.
Production Fee: $350.00
PAYMENT METHODS: Parent/Guardian are given the option to either pay the lump sum cost of whichever show(s) they choose upfront, or they may choose to do a monthly payment plan during the rehearsal period up to performance of said production(s). We will begin invoicing parents/guardians at the beginning of production period(s). AUDITION PREPARATION
AUDITION DATE: Tentative January 25th
AUDITION LOCATION: great gig Dance company – 4200 Wade Green Rd NW #128, Kennesaw, GA 30144
1. Prepare a 1-2 minute cut of a song in the style of the show(s) you’re auditioning for.
2. SLATE! At the beginning of your video please state your first and last name, followed by your age, the show you are auditioning for, and what song you will be performing and what show it’s from.
3. You will be responsible for providing your own track/accompaniment for the audition video.
4. NO acapella may be done.
5. Email your audition video, with a resume and headshot if possible to info@toptheatrics.org
CALLBACK PREPARATION
CALLBACK DATE: Tentative February 1st
CALLBACK LOCATION: great gig Dance company – 4200 Wade Green Rd NW #128, Kennesaw, GA 30144
We highly suggest you take the time to study the show(s) you’re called back for so you’re prepared!
Dress appropriately for the dance callback.
Be prepared to sing amongst other students and alone.
Cold reads will be included at the end of callbacks.
NOTE: Your professionalism and behavior will be recorded throughout this audition process.
Willy Wonka Rehearsal Information:
Willy Wonka First Day of Rehearsal: February 8th from 5pm to 9:30pm
Rehearsal Location: great gig Dance company – 4200 Wade Green Rd NW #128, Kennesaw, GA 30144
Rehearsal Days: Saturdays from 5pm to 9:30pm, Sundays from 4pm – 7pm.
Staff ONLY Tech: April 7th-8th
Student Tech Week: April 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th (Saturday), 14th, 15th, 16th (Dress Rehearsal)
All tech times are from 5:30pm to 10:00pm except for April 12th Saturday being 12pm – 6pm.
Performance Dates: April 17th, 18th, and two shows on the 19th.
