Top Hat Theatrics is looking for students to take on volunteer opportunities in the tech world of theatre! Go behind the scenes in all aspects of theatre whether it’s creative organization, technical design, and weekly operations going into tech week for our theatre productions!
All roles will have provided supervision and training to ensure the success of you, the student, throughout the production of assigned show.
We’re looking to fill several roles for our 2024 – 2025 shows!
Stage Manager
Have a love for organization? Are you tech savvy? You enjoy communicating, and keeping others up to date on all things theatre production? Then taking on the stage manager may be a role that’s suitable for you!
Sound Designer and Board Operator
Be a part of the show by understanding sound and music needs! Operate and bring the show to life by actively participating in live performances by operating sound cues!
Lighting Designer and Operator
Take on the design aspect of our shows by producing a unique concept in lighting to bring our performers to life! You will work with the directors and stage management in participation of the live shows!
Spotlight Operator
Want to shine a light on our stars? Join us to get an understanding of the use and operations of a spotlight and participate in our live shows. This is a great beginner role to understand the background works of a tech crew and being in the booth!
Stagehands
Work backstage during our shows to help with set movement, costuming, and props!
